H1N1 concern

I read the latest news regarding H1N1 this morning. Caught by surprice, Japan hit 251cases, which made up to 10,243 cases globally as in 20th May 09. Turn around, I asked my mum a question, 'u feel comfortable with a great number, or a number like '1-2, tak tau lah~'

Irony, she replied the 1st one. This however linked to our human instinct, which we felt safer if the suspected were all quarantined. Instead, 2 out of 2planes were suspected H1N1 positive carier AFTER THEY WERE ENGAGE TO THE CLINIC/HOSPITAL.

H1N1 is air bourned, there are higher possibilities of infection walking around a carier and they are always considered 'suspected infected entity'. Places like cinema, fuselage, lectural hall are all considered closed air area, which mean they has the highest possibilities to contain viruses like H1N1. Here, I would ask people to recall how did the 1st case of H1N1 was discovered in Malaysia?

Reported news were 'Malaysia has the 1st confirm case of H1N1, and the Ministry of Health urges all the pessangers whom on board MH091 to report and conduct a throughout check immediately(rough memory).' The statement above might sound wise as well a sense of urgency. For me, the related bodies were placed at a passive position, where passengers can choose whether to report and conduct a body check up or NOT. For instant, the responsible department should get the passenger list from MAS/ Air Asia, and call them immediately.

Besides, the kid (21 years old) engaged into hospital after he noticed his body temperature. It might take about like half- one day for one to discover they're sick, in this case - fever+cough+flu+headache+mucsle ache+ all kind of symptoms. In this half-one day, they should had at least in touch with more than 5peoples.

Lets go thru the list, 2 fuselage carrying 200+ passengers has the possibilities of carrying the virus, 38 of them are not traced(up to 20th May). Two infected entities are verified and are positive with H1N1. Considering each of the infected entity came in touch with at least 2person, for two generations, 2-4-8, there're 12extras who are suppose to be 'suspected entities'. Among the passengers, some might infected, among 38 of 'not traced', some might infected. In total, the number are numerous, and will end up a scary number.

Countries like Japan, they had the 1st out burst. In days, Japan reached 251cases. In what reason Malaysia has the maximum of 2person? Did they traced the suspicious throughoutly? or merely wait for them to report cases? I had yet to get any information from under developed countries. I could assume that they had insufficient medical back up, or lack of facilities, or perhaps running short of responsibilities towards their citizen. In a developing country like Malaysia, we have to prove them wrong, that we're keen of our citizen's health, not simple wait and expect for changes. Citizens whom had went thru higher education and has a healthy awareness would freak their shit out if they look deeply into these figures. Instead of '1-2saja', please discover more suspected entities and arrange a proper and respectful quarantine. More suspected are in the market, and I don't think the respective department will find them when it had seriously break out in the short future.

From my opinion, the best and wise choise is to maintain personal hygiene and practise proper clean thru everyday. Teaches kids not to shake hand in the moment, which will not show how rude they are but it's polite and sincere by smiling on their face.
